Winter mower maintenance

If the mower is stored for more than 30 days in winter, maintenance work should be performed to ensure the next mower has the best performance.

First, let go of the fuel in the fuel tank, and then start the engine until the fuel is used up.

Then, with the heat engine just turned off, first drain the crankcase of oil and then fill it with fresh oil at an appropriate rate according to the recommended fluid level.

Third, remove the spark plug and fill the cylinder with 5-10 ml of oil. Rotate the crankshaft a few times, then install the spark plug.

Fourth, clean the dust and debris around the cutter head, cutter body, cylinder block, cylinder head radiator, air hood, grille and muffler.

Fifth, it should be placed horizontally on the ground, and the cloth cover should be placed on the lawn mower to prevent dust from falling on the lawn mower.

Sixth, thoroughly clean the lawn mower. Before leaving the lawnmower for a long time in winter, the bottom of the lawnmower, deck and fuel tank cover should be thoroughly cleaned to prevent residual weeds and mud blocks from damaging the agricultural machinery. Before cleaning, the spark plug and opening device should be removed, and hoses, putty scrapers and car washers should be used to remove impurities accumulated on the landing gear and deck. Then use a brush to remove the deposits in the ventilation holes of the mailbox to prevent clogging.

Seventh, remove grease. If the engine oil is exposed to the equipment for a long time, a chemical reaction will occur and the paint on the surface of the equipment will come off. Therefore, it should be deleted immediately. To remove grease, spray the grease area of the equipment with a degreaser, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then wipe with a towel and rinse with water.

Eighth, it can restrain the rust of the bare part of the lawn mower. Lubricant can be sprayed on the exposed part of the lawn mower, so it can effectively prevent rust. Place the lawn mower in a dry place.

Ninth, regularly inspect worn parts. Develop the habit of regularly checking fragile parts and replacing damaged parts in time. This not only improves the performance of the lawn mower, but also eliminates potential safety issues.
