Is it still worth buying a gasoline chain saw

They are noisy, usually expensive, and require regular maintenance and upkeep to maintain effective operation. So, with other options, why buy a gasoline chain saw?

If you use a chain saw to cut logs for your wood-burning stove this winter, you can choose gasoline, cordless or corded electric models.

It turns out that the latter two types are very popular among gardeners because they are usually easier to start and less likely to disturb neighbors compared to ordinary gasoline saws.

Gas chain saws are known to be bulky and difficult to use, but this year’s harvest may help make it easier for you to cut vegetables.

A long bar

If you have a particularly wide log to cut this winter, a model with a long pole is ideal. Although they usually have more powerful engines, they are usually heavier and harder to start than those with shorter rods.

Chain-tensioning dial

For efficiency and safety reasons, all chain saws, whether using gasoline or not, need to maintain a properly tensioned chain. Some models require you to use a separate screw to tighten it, but some models have a useful dial on the side, which means you don't need to reach for different tools.
