How to mix oil and gas in a gasoline chain saw

You will not dream of adding diesel to the car engine, nor will you try to run a D battery flashlight with a 9-volt battery. Common sense tells you that trying to operate with the wrong type of fuel can only be in vain at best, and even worse, it can lead to expensive maintenance costs.

Using the right type of fuel is essential for the safe and efficient operation of STIHL equipment. All UANBUY gasoline-powered equipment runs on a 25:1 mixture of gasoline and 2-stroke engine oil. Knowing the correct way to mix fuel is the first step in keeping the fuel running long.

When choosing the gasoline to use, don't choose cheap things. It is recommended to use medium-grade unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89 for your mixture. Fuels with lower octane numbers may increase engine temperature, increasing the risk of stuck pistons and damage to the engine.

Mixing

All UANBUY gasoline powered equipment uses a 25:1 mixture of natural gas and oil. The following table can help you determine the correct metric to use. For high-performance fuels that do not require mixing, choose Steel MotoMix® pre-mixed fuel.

First pour the oil into the tank, then add gasoline. Close the canister and shake vigorously by hand to ensure that the oil and fuel are properly mixed.

Storage of natural gas and petroleum mixtures

It is recommended that you only mix enough fuel during a few days of work. Fuel storage shall not exceed three months. When using fuel that has been stored for any time, shake the mixture in the canister before refueling the machine.
