How to cut trees

Before you start cut trees, make sure you are familiar with the operation of the saw and follow all safety recommendations. For larger trees, trees close to buildings, fall on its slope, trees on the opposite side of rotting trees or any trees that you feel uncomfortable, please consult a professional.

step 1

Check the area around the trees.

First take a closer look at the area. Make sure that there are no structures, power cords or pets with a radius equal to the height of the tree. Keep people at least twice as high as the tree.

Step 2

Clear the bushes around the trees.

Choose the direction you want the tree to fall (it should be the direction in which the tree is naturally inclined), and plan a clear escape path at a 45-degree angle to the falling direction. Clear the area around the trees and make sure there are no loose branches on top of your head.

Step 3

Create a 70 degree cut.

Place the tree on the left, with your left shoulder resting against the tree, and make a 70-degree cut on the side facing the direction in which the tree fell. If your saw sees the line of sight of the housing, use it as a guide. Pointing the sight at the location of the tree you want to fall can help you cut at the appropriate location on the tree. Cut to a depth of about a quarter of the diameter of the tree.

Step 4

Slot in the trunk.

For the next cut, rotate the saw sideways and cut horizontally to fit your first cut, thereby creating a cut. Make sure the cuts meet.

Step 5

Create felling cuts.

For logging cuts, move to the opposite side and make a horizontal cut slightly above the previous cut. Saw until you have enough space to insert the wedge into the cut to prevent the saw from being tied up. Push the wedge in and finish the cut, making sure not to touch the wedge with the blade. Don't cut through-leave about 10% of the width as the hinge. When the tree starts to fall, move away along the escape route.
