How to choose the perfect water pump

Well, with the water pump, you can easily drain all the water and let your life return to normal.

For transferring large amounts of water from one place (basement) to another (outside), the pump is the best defense.

Electric water pump

The electric water pump is very suitable for indoor use. Most are 120V and can be plugged into a standard household outlet. If you choose 230V, please make sure you have a wire that supports it.

Although the electric water pump is not as powerful as the gasoline engine, because you do not need to worry about oil replacement and other maintenance issues, less maintenance is required.

You need to operate within the length of the extension cord from the power supply, so if you need mobile pumping equipment, use a pneumatic model.

Gas water pump

Gas pumps are usually used for irrigation purposes at work sites and farms. With powerful engine traction, these pumps can move up to 750 gallons of water (GPM) per minute. If you need to move a lot of water (for example, the basement is flooded), then a natural gas dehydration pump is just what you need.

Generally, GPM determines the quantity you buy because it is related to the speed at which the pump completes its work. For occasional home use, you can use a 30 GPM pump, but for large jobs, you need more muscle.

Important note: Gas pumps produce carbon monoxide emissions and must be used outdoors. In order to pull out the basement, you need a hose kit that allows you to place the pump outdoors while using the suction hose and filter remotely.
